Los Nopales in Tucson

We're long time customers but now a days we can only come when we're in town. It's always been a great place for Mexican food and other than the new color of the building, nothing has changed.

We have gone to Los Nopales for more than 10 years. Their food is consistenly delicious, with good sized portions and great prices.

My take out food was burt black on the inside of my chimichanga

Had a Chimychjnga it was great had a hard tkme.finishing dinner but it was great. Very quiet. Restraint. It on my list to return

Food is great there and I have never had any complaints from the people I take there. Love the guacamole tacos and chili relenos.

It's our favorite little known place with the best & fresh Mexican food. Plus the beautiful scenic desert drive is worth the trip to get there!🏜️

The service was friendly and timely. The food did not impress me. Had the red chile chimichanga lunch special. The meat was kind of dry. Not much flavor to the chile. But the salsa had a nice spicy kick. Will have to try it again another time to see if it wasn't a fluke.

Authentic Mexican food, great service, great prices, and easy to get to location. Definitely going back.

The food was excellent. We were asked to share a table with another couple and we said no problem. The people were so nice and thanked us by paying for our supper. This just proves that there are still good people in the world.

Tasty food, unpretentious, generous portions, great service

Small Mom and Pop place. Smells and looks not the cleanest, but locals eat there time and again. We both had small Mexican salads for lunch, it was plenty for a little Monday meal and real tasty too. If you are down at the SonorannDesert Museum or Old Tucson area, this is a good close place to grab a bite.

It is soooo good here the shrimp fajitas are the best they are not skimpy with there shrimp and the restaurant is small and clean❤❤❤

Yummy food and fast, friendly service. The ground beef is seasoned to perfection. I could eat a ground beef enchilada every day. We love this place. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The door was hard to find at first and the back of the restaurant looked totally sketchy (but which ones dont) but other than that my experience there was awesome. The service was fast the food good and the staff friendly and there was AC.There were 8 of us in our party and our total bill was 88 dollars, not bad for the wallet. I recommend coming in for a quick bite to eat you won't regret it.Tip:Follow the red arrows to the front door.

Been eating at los nopales since 1979 ,some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had including going to Mexico . The best service and the family that runs it are very nice .

Excellent chili rellanos, AS ALWAYs!!

We stopped here on out way out to Summer nights at the Desert Museum. It was so delicious! The prices were great and there was something for everybody. We came in a group and they had an open table for the 7 of us (not always the case at small restaurants). Our food came out very quickly and tasted great. I don't live anywhere near here, but would definitely come again when we're on the area.

Los Nopales is in a little strip mall a few miles from Tuscon Mountain Park. We found the food hearty and healthy - no greasy chips here. The salsa and guac was fresh. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and the servers very quick and friendly. This is simple mexican comfort food.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Good food and friendly staff. Home made. Don't let the building appearance fool you- you won't be disappointed.

After some mechanical issues with the car, we found this gem and what a relief. Good food, friendly staff, fair prices = great experience. The bright red and spicy enchiladas were awesomely cheesy. I highly recommend this hidden treasure nestled in a retirement community.

I will put this little Family owned hole in the wall Restaurant up against any other Mexican restaurant here in Tucson. OMGosh we had the chili rellenos, They were by far the best I have eaten in a ver long time. Fast service, excellent food and the servers were on top of it all the time. Happy Valentines dinner for me!!!

The food here is excellent. An extremely wide variety on the menu and every option is delicious. We have gone out of our way to eat at this little restaurant which is really hard to find if you're not looking real close for the last 3 years. The food never has varied. They come highly, highly recommended!

This is a great little place to go it just really nice the people are so nice the food is excellent and the portions are enormous and we really had a great time and had plenty to eat

We drive from Minneapolis, MN to Tucson every winter to visit my grandparents and we *always* make a point to come to Los Nopales on our first evening here because we just can't wait!Their food is so fresh, the enchilada sauce is the BEST I've ever had (including 5 different locales in Mexico) and everything is such a good value!Our favorites include the Veggie burro, anything with their refried beans and rice (the cheese enchilada is simply perfect!) #11 meal shown in picture.A must visit!
